We\u00a0convened the Asian Regional Conference on \u201cAdvocacy towards the Ratification and Implementation of\u00a0ILO Convention 189 and Recommendation 201 on Decent Work for Domestic Workers\u201d on October 24\u201026, 2011 in Manila, Philippines\u2010\u2010the first ever such regional gathering since the historic 100th session of\u00a0the International Labour Conference in June 2011 in Geneva. We express our appreciation for the\u00a0support of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in making this conference possible.
