Call for support: Make a Stand to End Modern Slavery

The #50forfreedom campaign was launched in October 2015 which aims at promoting ratification and implementation of the Forced Labour Protocol. The goal is to get the first 50 Governments to ratify the Protocol by 2018. The campaign hopes to mobilize people around the world to lobby their government towards ending modern-day slavery. The campaign will also be an opportunity to raise awareness about Forced labour and to give more visibility to what is concretely being done to prevent, combat and prosecute forced labour and trafficking, and to protect victims.

The platform www.50forfreedom.org will be used as an online tool to promote ratification of the ILO’s Protocol 29, raise awareness about forced labour, trafficking and slavery, and highlight different initiatives undertaken towards ending modern slavery.

Sign up and support the call to ending modern slavery http://50forfreedom.org/! Share and circulate to your networks, friends and to your social media accounts. Don’t forget to use #50FF or @ILO_EndSlavery.
