LIVE WEBCAST: Day of General Discussion 19 September 2011

Live webcast starts on 19 September (Monday) at 10:00am CET (Central Europe Time / Geneva time) and ends at 6:00pm CET. Click here to watch

As we have informed previously, the Day of General Discussion (DGD) on migrant workers in an irregular situation will be held on 19 September 2011 (Monday), from 10:00am to 6:00pm CET (Central Europe Time / Geneva time) at the Palais Wilson in Geneva, Switzerland.

Recognizing the limitations to travel, especially for undocumented communities, MRI is pleased to announce that we will coordinate a live webcast of the DGD proceedings. Our partner in this initiative, the Centre for Civil and Political Rights (CCPR), have been very gracious in assisting us to set up this webcast in order for the DGD to reach the widest audience possible.

You can watch the live proceedings of the Day of General Discussion here:

We are utilizing Ustream, a free livestreaming system, and because it is free, please expect that there will be pop-up advertisements.

The livestreaming will also include a live chat service where you can type in and send your queries and comments which you may want to address.

MRI will collate all feedback and will be put forward at the deliberations on 19 September 2011.

We look forward to you joining us virtually on this historic Day of General Discussion on migrant workers in an irregular situation.
