Circular No 17: Application for Special Accreditation to Participate in the Intergovernmental Conference to Adopt the GCM in Morocco, 10-11 December 2018

Dear Friends,

Hope all goes well.

We are writing to inform all partners that NGOs, civil society organizations, diaspora organizations, migrant organizations, academic institutions, and private sector entities, not in consultative status with ECOSOC, are now invited to apply for special accreditation to participate in the Intergovernmental Conference to Adopt the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, which will be held in Morocco on 10 and 11 December 2018.

The application for special accreditation is open until 26 March 2018 under the link https://reg.unog.ch/event/23796/.

Please note that all non-governmental organizations not in consultative status with ECOSOC should apply for accreditation, also those who received special accreditation to the GCM process.

On another note, we are also sharing with you a document prepared by our friends in Women in Migration Network (WIMN). The document categorizes different issues such as gender, children, those in favor or against firewalls, regular/irregular, refugee/migrant, basic services, decent work, Member-states who emphasized the importance of sovereignty, human rights, non-discrimination, climate, concerns regarding date, and Member-states who encourage participation of civil society. It is arranged per country for easier reference an kindly see attached the said document.
