Circular 32: GCM International Migration Review Forum Zero Draft

Dear Friends,

Hope all goes well. Greetings from the Secretariat.

We are writing to share with you the Zero draft of the International Migration Review Forum (IMRF). The IMRF serves as the primary inter-governmental global platform for Member States (MS) to discuss and share the progress on the implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration which was adopted in December 2018 in Marrakesh, Morocco.

The first informal inter-governmental consultation on the said zero draft, titled, “Format and organizational aspects of the international migration review forums”, will be taking place today, 11 June 2019 at the UN Headquarters in New York. The attached zero draft discusses in detail the modalities of and how the IMRF is being envisioned at the moment.

We encourage you to go through the zero-draft and we are open to hear any comments, assessments on the zero-draft. We greatly appreciate any thoughts as we continue to engage in the ongoing discussions on the Global Compact.
